The BCaring Campaign fosters a deeper sense of community and embodies the spirit of our shared Jesuit legacy. We facilitate events and activities that center on self-reflection, respect, and cultivating care for the 青年涩导航community.

BCaring Week (10/27 - 11/2)
Inspired by the Jesuit mission of being 鈥渟tudents for others,鈥 BCaring Week will highlight respect and care across the 青年涩导航community. Through programs and messaging, students are encouraged to reflect on the impact of their words and actions, look out for one another, and help foster a culture of care.
Timed around Halloween on Friday, October 31, and the Notre Dame game on Saturday, November 1., BCaring Week will serve as an essential reminder to celebrate responsibly, look out for one another, and be considerate of the broader on and off-campus community.
Kickoff Event: BCaring Cards
Kick off BCaring Week by stopping by the Maloney Hall fourth floor between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM to write a note of appreciation to a friend, family member, or faculty/staff member who has supported you. We鈥檒l provide the cards, stamps, and mailing. Food from Wingstop will be available.

Professional Clothing Drive
The Career Center is collecting professional clothing donations throughout the week (October 27鈥31) at 38 Commonwealth Ave (Southwell Hall). Items should be professional in nature, freshly cleaned, and in good wearable condition with no stains, tears, or damage.

Rolling Recognition
Nominate a friend or classmate who demonstrates care for the 青年涩导航community. Every nominated student will receive a BCaring t-shirt in recognition of their impact.

Bus Stop Breakfast
Start your day with coffee, donuts, and gratitude! Visit the South Street shuttle stop between 8:30 and 10:00 AM for Deans and Donuts on the go, hosted by the Office of the Dean of Students. While you鈥檙e there, write a BCaring card (we will stamp and mail it for you).

Sustainability Fair
Stop by the Academic Quad between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to paint a pot, plant a succulent, and learn from Ecopledge about the importance of sustainability and keeping our campus clean.

Pop-Up Gratitude Card Stations
From Tuesday (10/28) through Friday (10/31), the Office of the Dean of Students will host pop-up tables across campus. Students can write and mail a note of thanks to a friend, family member, or faculty/staff member who has made a difference.

Step up to the microphone and share your answer to the question: 鈥淲hat does it mean to care for the community?鈥 The Mission Moments mic will appear at an undisclosed time and location...be ready to add your voice!

Digital Wellness Day
Wellness Coaches from the Center for Student Wellness will be in surprise locations throughout the day to distribute t-shirts and spark conversations about healthy digital habits and social media use.

Reverse Trick-or-Treating
Wellness Coaches from the Center for Student Wellness will be out on campus distributing treat bags and sharing positive messages about how to BCaring.

Love You a Latte
Agape Latte will host a special tabling event on O鈥橬eill Plaza where students, faculty, and staff can enjoy a cup of coffee and write a note of appreciation and encouragement to someone in their life.听

Spread the Word to End the Word
Join UGBC鈥檚 Council for Students with Disabilities from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Academic Quad to commit to ending the use of the 鈥渇鈥 slang word. By signing the campaign flag, participants pledge to foster a more inclusive and respectful community.

Grad Student Restorative Practice Training
Graduate students are invited to a professional development workshop from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Murray House. Learn the principles of nonviolent communication and how to apply them when navigating conflict.

Wrap up BCaring Week by joining the 青年涩导航Breakfast Club for a community clean-up. Volunteers meet outside Greycliff Hall at 10:30 AM to collect supplies and spend an hour picking up trash in the neighborhood. Volunteers receive a 青年涩导航Breakfast Club t-shirt and a free meal at Eagle鈥檚 Deli, courtesy of the Office of the Dean of Students.
